Abstract
Laparoscopic cholecystectomy has rapidly emerged as the procedure of c hoice for the performance of elective cholecystectomy. Complications o f the procedure and information about their incidence are emerging as the results of large series are reported. These results demonstrate th e acceptability of the method. Adequate training, attention to detail during the procedure, and experience will likely improve results in th e future.
