Ay. Safronov et al., ELECTROCHEMICAL ADSORPTION OF PEPTIDES AS PROMOTERS OF DIRECT ELECTRON-TRANSFER IN SOLUTIONS WITH DIFFERENT PH ELECTROCHEMICAL STUDIES, Russian electrochemistry, 29(5), 1993, pp. 811-814
Cyclic voltammetry was used to study the effects of solution pH and el
ectrode potential on the direct electrochemical reactions of cytochrom
e c at dipeptide-modified gold electrodes. The quasi-reversible redox
reaction of cytochrome c is most stable after a modification of the el
ectrode surface in neutral peptide solutions. Electrode polarization t
o negative potentials during modification improves the redox reaction
signals.
