Abstract
Three major criticisms of our study are addressed. We acknowledge some methodological weaknesses, but maintain that it provides a meaningful test of sociobiological theory. Although the major result was a negat ive relationship between age and perceived attractiveness, we conclude that the theory receives qualified support, with 4 out of 6 revised p redictions confirmed.
