Abstract
Data from six meteorological stations dispersed widely over Pakistan h ave been used to produce a correlation between the monthly means of ea sily measured sunshine duration and the less frequently recorded globa l solar radiation, taking into account the site elevation above sea le vel and the latitude. The relation is shown to be valuable for other r egions too.
