Abstract
The blue compounds resulting from redox reactions of olefins with redu ced Phillips catalysts were identified as CpCr(III) complexes of the f ormula (Cp=CrCl2) 2 or Cp=CrCl2 . D in donor solvents, with Cp==alkyl substituted eta5-cyclopentadienyl ring.
