Abstract
Partial cross sections of the S-45(p, gamma(i)) reaction are measured at proton energies from 1.2 to 3.1 MeV. The results are compared with the cross sections calculated from the statistical theory, where the s pin and parity assignments are made for Ti-46 excited states. A new st atistical approach is used to calculate the radiative strength functio ns with regard to the temperature and shell structure of a nucleus. A good agreement with the experiment is obtained without having to vary the parameters.
