Abstract
The Lubricating Acrylic Syntan technology that was developed by Rohm a nd Haas Company in the 1980's has proven to be a unique breakthrough f or leather processing. To date this new technology has made it possibl e to design products that target specific leather applications while a llowing the leather industry to meet increasingly stringent requiremen ts. A future generation of Lubricating Acrylic Syntans is being develo ped to impart leather with soft temper, strength, water resistance and low fogging properties.
