Abstract
Automatic image analysis in connection with stereology and stochastic geometry was used to describe the size distribution of air pores in au toclaved concrete. The experiments were carried out on AAC samples wit h extremely different bulk densities and compressive strengths. The as sumption of an elliptic shape of pores leads to an unambiguous charact erisation of structure by bi-histograms. It will be possible to calcul ate the spatial pore size distribution by these histograms, if the por es are assumed as being spheroids. A marked point field model and the pair correlation function g(a)(r) were used to describe the pore struc ture.
