NUMERICAL RESEARCH UPON THE TYPES AND RATES OF OFFSPRING PRODUCED BY THE PARTHENOGENETIC GENERATIONS OF ADELGES-LARICIS VALL (HOM, ADELGIDAE)

The paper deals with type and rates of offspring produced by the parth enogenetic generations of A. laricis derived from single Fundatrices. It was revealed that the Migrantes alatae not only produce Neosistente s but also a few individuals of the Progrediens-type. Hiemosistens-fem ales can produce preponderantly larvae of the Sistens-type, yet also a lmost exclusively Progrediens-individuals. The first Progrediens gener ation gives rise exclusively to Sistentes or Progredientes. The offspr ing of the second Progrediens generation consists predominantly of Sis tentes and, in varying proportions, Progredientes apterae and Intermed iates. Questions about the mechanisms of morph determination are discu ssed.
