This paper presents an empirically developed model, for coordinating t
he planning and implementation of combined health promotion activities
the elementary schools. Validity of the model was assessed using resu
lts of semi-structured interviews with two individuals who served in t
he coordinator role. The amended model that was developed in light of
the assessment is presented, with suggestions for others who seek to u
se a coordinated approach for increasing the impact of school health p
rograms.
