Y. Sekine et al., REAL-TIME SIMULATION OF POWER-SYSTEM DYNAMICS, INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF ELECTRICAL POWER AND ENERGY SYSTEMS, 16(3), 1994, pp. 145-156
Real-time power system simulation is becoming a standard technology in
designing new devices and analysing power system dynamics. This surve
y paper first describes the demand and requirement for the real-time s
imulation from the user's points of view. Then recent simulation techn
ologies are studies from the suppliers' points of view. Following this
, seven real simulators used in power companies are selected and each
is summarized along with practical experiences and evaluations of them
e. Finally, some future issues and the potentials of real-time simulat
ion are discussed.
