Abstract
Mechanical and electrochemical corrosion properties of 01Kh25TB ferrit ic steel doped by 1 - 5% of silicon are given. Silicon was shown to fa cilitate both the active dissolution process and the steel passivation , as well as to increase its pitting resistance. The obtained results were explained in terms of the silicon effect on micro- and electronic structure of solid solution and passivating film.
