Ai. Marshakov et al., DISSOLUTION RATE AND CORROSION POTENTIAL OF IRON IN THE PRESENCE OF H2O2 AS A FUNCTION OF THE SOLUTION-STIRRING RATE, Protection of metals, 30(3), 1994, pp. 201-205
An activation of th iron dissolution at a constant potential by H2O2 i
s shown to depend on the rate ratio of the H2O2 electroreduction and t
hat of the Fe2+-ion chemical oxidation in the diffusion layer of the s
olution. A dependence of the free-corrosion potential of iron on the c
oncentration of the oxidizer is obtained at different rates of solutio
n stirring.
