Abstract
(2R,6R)-, (2R,6S)-, (2S,6R)- and (2S,6S)-2,6-dimethyloct-1-yl formates have been prepared from S-(+)- and R-(-)-enantiomers of 3,7-dimethylo cta-1,6-diene via enantioselective hydrolysis of (2R/S,6R)- and (2R/S, 6S)-2,6-dimethyloct-1-yl formates with porcine pancreatic lipase as th e key step.
