S. Isemura et E. Saitoh, INHIBITORY ACTIVITIES OF PARTIALLY DEGRADED SALIVARY CYSTATINS, International Journal of Biochemistry, 26(6), 1994, pp. 825-831
1. Aminoterminally truncated forms of cystatin S and cystatin SN had h
igher inhibition constants for ficin, but lower ones for cathepsin C (
dipeptidyl peptidase I) as compared to their respective full-sized for
m. 2. Cystatin SN still retained the inhibitory activity for ficin aft
er reduction and carboxymethylation, although the inhibition constant
increased.
