Abstract
We show that the addition of a weak periodic drive can stabilize the i n-phase state of a current-biased series array of N Josephson junction s. The stabilization can be predicted by a local analysis of an effect ive one-junction problem regardless of N. In the parameter regime cons idered, the stabilization appears to be global.
