Abstract
This paper presents a complete calibrated list of all available radioc arbon dates from the Pacific Eskimo region of the Central Gulf of Alas ka. Late prehistoric models of culture change from this region are eva luated in light of the calibration data. The existence of at least two statistically significant interregional synchronic cultural shifts ar e posited, one at 850-950 B.P., and the other at 5000-5100 B.P.
