Third and last part of the French version of the paper on the history of continuous casting presented at the 75th ISS conference in 1992, it first discusses the 80's with the fruits <<to know why>> and the unde rstanding of solidification phenomena, then the 90's towards another r evolution with, in particular, the casting of thin slabs and direct ca sting of strips. Finally, a last chapter is devoted to recalling conti nuous casting pioneers.
