Abstract
Twenty-eight species of the mosquito genera Aedes, Anopheles, Culex, a nd Uranotaenia are reported from the banks of the Mekong River in nort heastern Thailand. The aquatic habitat of Anopheles notanandai is repo rted for the first time. The effect of the unstable riverine habitat o n distribution of the malaria vectors Anopheles minimus and Anopheles pseudowillmori, as well as some species of Aedes, Anopheles, and Culex , is discussed.
