Ma. Elries, SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC AND INDIRECT DETERMINATION OF LINCOMYCIN BY ATOMIC-ABSORPTION SPECTROSCOPY (AAS), Analytical letters, 27(8), 1994, pp. 1517-1531
The reaction of lincomycin with cupric ions in alkaline medium was tak
en as a basis for the colorimetric and indirect atomic absorption spec
trometric ( AAS ) determination of lincomycin hydrochloride. The AAS p
rocedure was based on the extraction of copper-lincomycin complex at p
H 11, into n-butanol. The copper content in this extract was determine
d by AAS. The response was linear for up to 30 mu g ml(-1) of lincomyc
in. The method is accurate sensitive and simple. The proposed methods
were applied to pharmaceutical preparations with fine accuracy.
