G. Goetz et al., SPECTROSCOPIC DETECTION OF THE V-SULFIDE((D4) ACCEPTOR STATE IN ZINC SELENIDE AND ZINC), Journal of luminescence, 60-1, 1994, pp. 16-20
The 5E(D) --> 5T2(D) photoluminescence of V+(d4) is studied for ZnS an
d ZnSe at T = 4.2 K. ZnSe displays a no-phonon peak at 3640 cm-1, ZnS
a triplet near 3914 cm-1. The vibronic structure of the emission spect
ra indicates combined spin-orbit and Jahn-Teller interactions. Excitat
ion spectra are recorded and described by a Tanabe-Sugano calculation
in the lower energy range while charge-transfer processes occur at hig
her energies.
