Abstract
Samples of Ca1-xSrxS:0.001Ce show excitation spectra of generally simi lar form; an exciting wavelength of 254 nm produces emissions showing a blue shift with increasing Sr content at both 77 and 295 K. At 77 K the emission intensity decreases linearly with x but at 295 K shows a maximum at an intermediate composition. Explanations are explored.
