Abstract
By using nonlocal response theory which determines the selfconsistent motions of induced polarization and radiation field, the linear respon se of size-quantized excitons in a semiconductor microsphere has been calculated as a function of the radius of the sphere. The induced pola rization for resonant light shows a remarkable size-resonant enhanceme nt.
