Abstract
We have investigated the photoluminescence (PL) behavior of porous Si which, for certain etching techniques, shows an enhancement and oscill atory dependence on the laser power. We have studied a variety of etch ing methods and have determined the ones which give these PL effects. Micro-Raman measurements show some correlation between these effects a nd the crystalline phase of the material.
