Abstract
Electronic energy transfer from acetonaphthone (donor) to acridine ora nge (acceptor) entrapped in microcrystalline cellulose was studied by fluorescence and diffuse reflectance laser flash photolysis. Prompt an d delayed fluorescence emission of both monomer and dimer forms of acr idine orange were detected. Similar efficiencies of transfer from eith er singlet or triplet donor were found suggesting a static quenching p rocess.
