Abstract
For a number of Rh3+-chelates the spin dynamics in the ligand-localize d lowest excited 3pipi state is studied by means of coherent ODMR spe ctroscopy. Irreversible triplet spin dephasing and non-stationary spin -diffusion in the photo-excited Rh3+-chelates is attributed to hyperfi ne couplings with randomly fluctuating proton spins present in the lig and molecules having trapped the 3pipi excitations.
