Recombination processes in CaS:Eu2+ (0.1-1.5wt%) thin films were studi
ed. Photoluminescence spectra and emission decay kinetics were measure
d at different temperatures (4-300 K). It was found that the Eu2+ intr
a-ion transitions as well as energy and electron transfer between diff
erent Eu centers are responsible for luminescence properties of the Ca
S:Eu2+ films.
