Abstract
The luminescence decays of Gd2(SiO4)O:Ce obtained by exciting two Gd3 absorption lines show a build-up and a long decay component, suggesti ng that the origin of two slow decay components observed in the gamma- ray excited decay is caused by the energy transfer from Gd to Ce.
