Abstract
Properties of single molecules at low temperatures can be studied by f luorescence excitation spectroscopy. Stark effect, pressure-induced sp ectral shifts, polarization effects, and time-resolved measurements ha ve been performed on single pentacene molecules embedded in a p-terphe nyl crystal at low temperature.
