Abstract
An in-situ luminescence measurement of lithium ortho- and metasilicate s was performed under H+ beam irradiation. Luminescence bands of broad width were observed at 380, 420 and 490 nm. The temperature dependenc e of the luminescence intensity was not monotonical in the temperature range from 300 to 850 K. The intensity increased at the temperatures around 650 K and then decreased drastically above the temperature. The production behavior of irradiation defects was discussed on the basis of the observations.
