A simple, precise, and rapid HPTLC method has been developed for simul
taneous determination of Paracetamol and Diclofenac Sodium in pharmace
utical preparations. Chromatography on silica gel plates developed wit
h chloroform - methanol - ammonia (10 + 2.5 + 0.1, v/v) results in a l
inear response in the concentration range 100-600 ng for Paracetamol a
nd 10-60 ng for Diclofenac Sodium. The standard deviation for Paraceta
mol and Diclofenac Sodium is 0.731 and 1.722%, respectively, and the r
ecovery of the compounds is 97.4% and 99.84%, respectively.
