Abstract
The properties of D-optimal designs for multiresponse models are explo red using the Equivalence Theorem by Fedorov [''Theory of Optimal Expe riments,'' Academic Press, New York, 1972]. For some classes of multir esponse linear models, the results can be applied to simplify complica ted multiresponse experimental design problems or to reduce multirespo nse experimental design problems to single-response experimental desig n problems using the D-optimal design criterion.
