Process of thermal self -action of powerful ultrasonic signals in visc
ous liquids are theoretically and experimentally investigated. Simulta
neous realization of acoustic beam self-focusing and sound induced sel
f-transparency of liquid gives a new nonlinear effect of high energy w
ave packet self-concentration. A pulse with duration DELTAt approximat
ely 10s is formed inside the liquid, the intensity of ultrasound in it
s peak is several times greater than the input level. The parameters o
f this process are calculated, which axe in a good agreement with expe
rimental data.
