Abstract
An application of the patch shape symmetry for the basis-function sele ction for the Green's function/Galerkin's solution is reported. As a r esult many impedance matrix elements are equal to zero and the computa tion time is reduced. The symmetry properties of four commonly used mi crostrip patch antennas are described as examples.
