Undergraduate students at the Mathematics Department of the University
of Coimbra (DM-FCTUC) can choose computer graphics as one of their ma
in study areas. Thus, they attend several courses ranging from those c
overing computer graphics fundamentals, to others dealing with more ad
vanced and application subjects like geometric modelling and computer-
aided design. The authors describe the structure and contents of the c
urrently offered computer graphics curriculum, its positioning in the
mathematics curriculum, and the relative significance of the various c
urriculum components. For of the courses taught, software tools develo
ped to support the student's learning process are briefly presented.
