E. Dmowska, EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM ARTIFICIAL ACID-RAIN ON SPECIES RANGE AND DIVERSITY OF SOIL NEMATODES, European journal of soil biology, 29(3-4), 1993, pp. 97-107
Five years acidification of the soil due to artificial sulphuric acid
rain did not significantly affect total number of nematodes. It did, h
owever, change the community structure. In soil treated with sulphuric
acid the number of nematode genera and species diversity were lower t
han in the untreated soil. Sulphuric acid introduced into the soil eli
minated predatory and omnivorous species of nematodes.
