The kinetics of convection drying of flat tiles has been investigated
experimentally in an industrial tunnel dryer. It was found that an exp
onential model of the type: B(t) = a exp (-bt2) (-dB(t)/dt) = 2btB(t)
has physical significance and correlates the kinetics of the whole til
e-drying process. Applying the maximum allowed drying rate curve obtai
ned for a flat tile in the first period of drying, a grapho-analytic m
odel for the optimal management of the process has been developed.
