Abstract
We have carried out a comparative study of relativistic and non-relati vistic tunnelling through a multi-barrier system consisting of an arbi trary number of delta-function barriers. Among other things, our study reveals that relativistic resonant tunnelling occurs at all energies for any number of barriers when the strength of the delta-function bar riers assumes certain quantised values, while the corresponding non-re lativistic treatment does not display this property.
