CORRELATION BETWEEN SOME LIPOPHILICITY CHARACTERISTICS OF MORPHOLINOETHYLESTERS OF 2-ALKOXY, 3-ALKOXY AND 4-ALKOXY SUBSTITUTED PHENYLCARBAMIC ACIDS, AND THEIR INHIBITORY ACTIVITY IN PHOTOSYNTHESIZING ORGANISMS

Morpholinoethylesters of 2-, 3- and 4-alkoxysubstituted phenylcarbamic
acids (MAPC) inhibit photosynthetic processes in algae and plant chlo
roplasts. The inhibitory activity of MAPC in photosynthesizing organis
ms was in good correlations with lipophilicity characteristics such as
hydrophobic fragment constants, partition coefficients and chromatogr
aphic retention factors.
