Abstract
A number of aryl-2-thiothiazolo[4,5-d]pyrido[2,1-b]pyrimidines (5) and azolo-[4,5-d][1,3,4]thiadiazolo[2,3,-b]pyrimidines (6) have been synt hesised from the Michael adducts (3) and (4), respectively which in tu m have been prepared by the reaction of arylidenorhodanines (2) with 2 -aminopyridine and 2-amino-5-aryl-1,3,4-thiadiazoles, respectively. Th e antifungal activity of the title compounds has been screened against A. niger, H. oryzae and P. oryzae.
