RECENT PRODUCT DEVELOPMENTS AND PROCESS MONITORING IN THE FIELD OF REACTIVE POLYMER COMPOUNDING

This contribution aims at the illustration of the potential of reactiv e blending, hold up polypropylene modification as an example. Formulat ion rules and process technology to create PP/PA-alloys and thermoplas tic elastomers based on PP/EP(D)M, as well as the property profiles of the resulting products will be described. A separate chapter is dedic ated to functionalization of polypropylene by mainchain-grafting of se lected linkage molecules, to widen the range of application of this lo w-cost polymer.
