Abstract
An exact solution to vectorial two-beam mixing in photorefractive crys tals with diffusion dominated build-up of gratings is obtained. Both t he transmission and the reflection geometry of the process are treated equally using the novel solution procedure. Some applicative potentia l of the vectorial two-wave mixing is explored.
