From the chloroform extract of decoctum of Laggera Pterodonta (DC) Ben th (Compositae) aried part, Compound 1 approximately 4 were obtained a fter colum chromatography on silical gel and crystallization. 1 is a n ew compound which has sesquiterpene skeleton of eudesmane based on C-1 3 NMR, H-1-H-1 cosy and mass spectral data. It has the structure of DE LTA4,11-eudesm-dien-3-one-13-oic acid. 2 approximately 4 were elucidat ed as the known ilicic acid, artemitin and chrysospleneti B respective ly based on the spectroscopic data and comparision with the literature .
