Abstract
''Terasi'' starter was composed of Bacillus brevis, Bacillus pumilus, Bacillus megaterium, Bacillus coagulans, Bacillus subtilis, and Microc occus kristinae in the proportion of 39.1%, 26.1%, 8.7%, 8.7%, 8.7%, a nd 8.7%, respectively. Most of the isolates showed properties of high esterase (C4) and esterase lipase activities (C8).
