Abstract
This work presents the experimental results obtained with a high gradi ent magnetic tilter (HGMF) cell in an axial configuration that has bee n theoretically analysed in a previous work. The experiments were perf ormed using a liquid suspension of paramagnetic particles with diamete rs of tens of micrometers and the efficiency measurements were perform ed by weighing the mass of the material captured until saturation. The measurements were done at different values of the applied magnetic fi eld intensity, flow velocity of the liquid suspension and the ferromag netic wire length. The experimental results obtained were then compare d with the theoretical results, and good agreement was achieved betwee n them.
