A. Safak, OPTIMAL CHANNEL REUSE IN CELLULAR RADIO SYSTEMS WITH MULTIPLE CORRELATED LOG-NORMAL INTERFERERS, IEEE transactions on vehicular technology, 43(2), 1994, pp. 304-312
The probability of co-channel interference (PCI) due to multiple corre
lated log-normal signals is calculated for cellular radio systems oper
ating in Rayleigh fading and log-normal shadowing environment. The eff
ects on the PCI of the correlation between the signals, the standard d
eviation due to shadowing, the number of interferers, the co-channel p
rotection ratio, and the traffic load is investigated. The results are
used for analyzing the optimal channel reuse, the cluster size, and t
he spectrum efficiency in terms of these parameters.
