Abstract
The dependence of the induction period of polyvinyl chloride decomposi tion on the content of thermal stabilizer in the composition (Ba and C a stearates, Ba phthalate, adipate, and benzoate) has been studied. It has been shown that the induction period is independent of the conten t and nature of the alkaline-earth metal ions in the stabilizer and is determined only by the amount of stabilizer in the composition.
