The energy spectra and angular distributions of the proton emission fr
om the Nb-93(n,xp) reaction are measured by means of the multitelescop
e system at the University of Science and Technology of China. The tot
al proton production cross sections are in fair agreement with the res
ults obtained by other groups. The energy spectrum is explained well b
y the sum of the spectra calculated on the basis of the pre-equilibriu
m and Hauser-Feshbach theories. There are deviations from a previous m
easurement of the high-energy end of the angle-integrated proton spect
rum. The angular distribution, which shows a strongly energy-dependent
forward-backward asymmetry, is in fair agreement with the Kalbach-Man
n phenomenological model.
