Vm. Gropyanov et al., NONISOTHERMAL KINETICS OF THE SINTERING OF NATIVE RUSSIAN DOLOMITES, Russian journal of applied chemistry, 66(7), 1993, pp. 1208-1211
The mechanism of the densification and grain growth of native and henc
e the most hard-to-sinter Russian dolomites obtained from the Lis'egor
sk and Melekhovo-Fedot'evsk deposits has been elucidated by the method
of nonisothermal kinetics. The pregrinding is found to enable the obt
aining of high-density lime-periclase clinker from the above dolomites
after sintering at a temperature up to 2100 K. The difference in the
course of the collecting recrystallization between the dolomites from
the above deposits is responsible for the differently proceeding densi
fications. More rapid grain growth accounts for lower relative density
of the lime-periclase clinker from dolomites of the Melekhovo-Fedot'e
vsk deposit at the final stage of sintering.
