Weak acidic cational exchange fibers were obtained by means of preirra
diation-induced graft copolymerization of methacrylic acid, acrylic ac
id, and acrylic acid and diglycol acrylate onto polypropylene nonwoven
fabric with electron beam. Effects that influence grafting and the ex
change adsorptive property of the ion-exchange fibers obtained toward
transition and rare-earth metal ions have been investigated. (C) 1994
